Get Your Blood Pressure in Check
A new study published in the journal Circulation confirmed that the health effects of the pandemic go beyond COVID-19. Researchers from Cleveland Clinic and Quest Diagnostics found that blood pressure levels rose among U.S. adults, particularly among women. Lockdown spurred a rise in unhealthy eating habits, poor sleep and emotional stress and a decrease in physical activity and regular doctor visits. Today’s lesson: Don’t put your health on hold during a pandemic, especially if you have chronic conditions.
