Meatballs 8 Ways
Cook meatballs according to package directions and toss with any of these sauces.
Bourbon Sauce
Cook and stir ¾ cup brown sugar, ¾ cup white vinegar,
¾ cup bourbon and 1 tsp. spicy brown mustard until mixture begins to simmer.
Chili & Jelly Sauce
Cook and stir 1 (12-oz.) bottle chili sauce and 1 (10-oz.) jar grape jelly until jelly is melted and mixture begins to simmer.
Cranberry
Cook and stir 1 (14-oz.) can jellied cranberry sauce, 1 cup ketchup, 3 Tbsp. brown sugar and 1 Tbsp. lemon juice until blended and hot.
Chimichurri Sauce
Chop 3 peeled garlic cloves in a small food processor. Add 1 cup fresh parsley, ¼ cup cilantro, 1 tsp. salt and ¼ tsp. pepper; pulse until finely chopped. Add 2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar. While processing, gradually add ½ cup olive oil in a steady stream.
Hoisin Sauce
Combine ¼ cup each rice vinegar and hoisin sauce, 2 Tbsp. each water, sesame oil and soy sauce, 1 Tbsp. honey, and 1 tsp. each minced garlic and ginger. Bring to a simmer.
Orange Glaze
Heat 1 (12-oz.) jar orange marmalade, ¼ cup orange juice, 2 chopped green onions and 1 chopped jalapeno.
Marinara Sauce
Heat 1½ cups marinara, 1⁄3 cup chopped ripe olives and ½ cup chopped fresh basil.
Swedish
In a large saucepan, melt 2 Tbsp. butter. Stir in 2 Tbsp. flour until smooth; gradually add 1 cup beef broth. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes. Stir in ½ cup heavy cream and ¼ tsp. dried dill; simmer 1 minute.
