●Indian Prime Minster Narendra Modi’s high-profile visit to the US includes an evening in New York, where he will be honoured for a flagship government scheme. But the celebrity event has turned controversial.印度總理莫迪上月底高調訪問紐約，且獲旗艦政府計畫認可，但這場名人事件卻引發爭議。
●A federal minister announced on 2 September that the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation would recognise Mr Modi for his government’s efforts to end open defecation.
一位聯邦部長9月2日宣布，「比爾暨梅琳達蓋茲基金會」將認可莫迪及其政府致力終結露天廁所的努力。
