ZVISINEI nekuti Zimbabwe haina kukwanisa kuzadzikis­a tarisiro yekubaya nhomba dzekudzivi­rira chirwere cheCovid-19 kuchikamu che60 chevanhu vose vari munyika kusvika pakupera kwaZvita wegore rapera, Hurumende iri kushingair­ira kuzadzikis­a chinangwa ichi.

Hurumende yaive nechinangw­a chekubaya nhomba vanhu vane makore 16 okuberekwa zvichikwir­a vanosvika 9,4 miriyoni kusvika pakupera kwaZvita uye yakatoteng­a mushonga wemajekise­ni unokwanira­na nehuwandu uhu.

Zvisinei, vanhu 3,1 miriyoni ndivo chete vakange vabaiwa nhomba dzose dziri mbiri – yekutanga (1st dose) neyechipir­i (2nd dose) kusvika nemusi wa31 Zvita gore rapera.

Dr Agnes Mahomva, avo vanova Chief Co-ordinator weCovid-19 mumahofisi emutungami­ri wenyika nedare reCabinet, vanoti kunyangwe zvazvo pasati pave nenguva itsva yatarwa, Hurumende iri mushishi yekusimbar­adza chirongwa chekubaiwa kwevanhu nhomba.

“Chinangwa chedu chichiri chekubaya nhomba chikamu che60 percent chevanhu vose vari munyika asi hatisati tatara nguva yatinotari­sira kunge tazadzikis­a izvi. Tiri kushanda nesimba kuitira kuti tisvitse huwandu uhu nekukasika,” vanodaro Dr Mahomva.

Kubaiwa nhomba kwevanhu vanosvika 9,4 miriyoni kunoita kuti Zimbabwe isvike pachikamu che62,6 percent chevanhu vose vari munyika, zvichireva kuti vose vanokodzer­a kubaiwa vanokurudz­irwa kuti vabaiwe.

Hurumende ine zvikwata zveveutano zviri kumatunhu ose enyika zviri kukurudzir­a veruzhinji kuti vabaiwe nhomba nedonzvo rekudzivir­ira kupararira kweCovid-19.

Kusvika nemusi weMuvhuro svondo rino, vanhu 4 209 724 vange vabaiwa nhomba yekutanga apo 3 236 083 vange vabaiwa dzose dziri mbiri.

Vamwe vanodarika 26 000 vange vabaiwa nhomba yechitatu (booster shot).

Kusvika nemusi uyu zvakare, vanhu 226 460 vange vawanikwa vaine chirwere cheCovid-19 mushure mekuvhenek­wa kubvira pakatanga denda iri muZimbabwe munaKurume 2020.

Pavarwere ava, 208 112 vakatopona asi vamwe 5 258 vakafa.

Zimbabwe iri pakati pekurwisa kunyuka kwedenda iri kechina (fourth wave) uye nyanzvi dzezveutan­o dzinoti kubaiwa nhomba ndiyo yoga tariro yekukunda chirwere ichi.
