BUXTON

-

Ever since the Middle Ages, people have been visiting Buxton for relaxation and health. The Georgians, with their craze for funny-tasting water, built the fine town we see now. Tastes change, though, and today Buxton is less crowded than nearby Bakewell, making it a good base for exploring the hills and dales. There’s always plenty going on, so you won’t be stuck for entertainment.
