CERVÉLO S2 105

Cervélo’s S2 shares the same frame as the much costlier S3, with handling that’s well balanced between straight-line stability and sharp direction changes. And even with its entry-level Shimano wheels the S2 is fast, with the aero-sculpted frame doing a great job of eking out pace. It’s a surprisingly capable climber too. And though the 105 works well with the Rotor/BBright chainset, most bikes at this price have Ultegra. But we’re fans of Cervélo’s futureproof fittings, as the S2’s internal routing accepts cable, wire and hydraulic hoses. This is a fine bike as it stands but the aero S2 frame deserves better, aero wheels.
