NEOM launches Trojena, a mountain tourism destinatio­n

His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and chairman of the NEOM Company Board of Directors, announced the establishm­ent of Trojena, the new global destinatio­n for mountain tourism in Saudi Arabia.

Trojena expects to attract 700,000 visitors and 7,000 permanent residents to live in Trojena and its adjacent residentia­l districts by 2030. In line with Vision 2030’s goals, Trojena will create more than 10,000 jobs and add SAR 3 billion to the kingdom’s GDP by 2030. neom.com

UNWTO’S second edition of Best Tourism Villages announced

Following the success of a pilot project in 2021, which saw Bkassine named as one of the best tourism villages, UNWTO has announced the return of Best Tourism Villages for 2022. Applicatio­ns will be open until June 28, 2022 and the chosen villages will be announced at the end of the year. unwto.org

A taste of Lebanon in Paris with “Mouné Libanaise: Artisanat Gastronomi­que” initiative by The Embassy of Lebanon

The Embassy of Lebanon in Paris organized a culinary initiative titled “Mouné Libanaise: Artisanat Gastronomi­que” to promote Lebanese agri-food products and introduce new brands, initiating B2B networking between key players in the French market and Lebanese brands.

More than 50 Lebanese brands were present, out of which 37 brands were new to the French market.
