Chanel has fi­nally sunk their teeth in men’s haute hor­logerie with the re­lease of Mon­sieur de Chanel, the brand’s first time­piece de­signed ex­clu­sively for men. while the el­e­gant cre­ation made its world de­but dur­ing the last Basel­world event in March, Chanel only started pro­mot­ing its of­fi­cial cam­paign in Septem­ber. Fea­tur­ing French ac­tor Gas­pard Ul­liel, the images were shot in min­i­mal­is­tic tones and pro­posed a stylish com­po­si­tion be­tween what Ul­liel wears and how the ex­clu­sive round watch per­fects his look. Add to that the fact that the watch also car­ries Chanel’s first in-house move­ment, named Cal­i­bre 1 (pro­duced by Ro­main Gau­thier), and you can eas­ily see how Mon­sieur de Chanel has opened up a whole new chap­ter for the Parisian brand.
