Valentine’s day of 2016 saw the launch of one of the loveliest and most diminutive ladies’ watches of the year: Blancpain’s Ladybird Ultraplate. This launch also marked the 60th anniversary of the watch and, accordingly, only 60 pieces were created. despite being one of the tiniest watches on the market (for reference, the movement of the original Ladybird was only 11.85cm across), this little bug packs a wealth of wonders in its tiny package, from the impressive power reserve of 40 hours (again, considering its size) to the 32 diamonds set on the bezel (plus eight more on the dial) and finally the delicate foliage motif on the mother-of-pearl dial. Much like its namesake, this pearly Ladybird is an absolute wonder to behold and wear.
