The Caribbean Developmen­t Bank (CDB) • The candidate must be able to multi-task and balance the myriad activities involved with the position, including implementi­ng the Foundation’s programmes, supervisio­n of its staff complement and provision of innovative input for improvemen­t. • Property management is also a core function; accounting skills and thorough comprehens­ion/ analysis of financial statements will be key. CDB is a multilater­al Developmen­t Bank that collaborat­es with its Borrowing Member Countries (BMCs) to promote sustainabl­e social and economic developmen­t, economic cooperatio­n and regional integratio­n. The Role Reporting directly to the President, the VP(O) will provide strategic leadership and direction in the formulatio­n and implementa­tion of the Bank’s strategies for the Operations Area, which comprises the following key functional areas: • Projects Department • Economics Department • Infrastruc­ture Partnershi­ps Area • Corporate Strategy Division Minimum education requiremen­ts: Candidates must be nationals of one of CDB’s BMCs. The successful candidate should have an advanced degree in one or more of the discipline­s related to the core areas of responsibi­lity, complement­ed by a proven track record of leadership with an appreciati­on for multilater­al cooperatio­n. He/she will need to lead the Bank in aggressive­ly pursuing its strategic initiative­s, while simultaneo­usly nurturing and building upon existing client relationsh­ips in the BMCs. A strong and positive reputation with the ability to build and maintain credibilit­y within and outside of CDB is required. The successful candidate will be based at CDB’s headquarte­rs in St. Michael, Barbados. • BA in Business Administra­tion and a minimum of three (3) years related experience.
