MERCI CHEF AWARDS RECOGNIZES CULINARY TALENT IN LEBANON

-

Merci Chef, Eurial’s export brand of cheese, butter and UHT cream, sold in over 50 countries outside of France, has run the Merci Chef Awards competition in Lebanon. It is the second of its kind in the Middle East after the 2014 edition in the UAE

The competition has welcomed recipe ideas using Merci Chef products from local foodservice industry professionals. Entrants stand to win a top cash prize of 3,000,000 LBP as well as other exciting gifts. A dedicated microsite, www. mercichefawards.com, was created specifically for the competition. Chefs and aspiring cooks could enter their recipes and gather more votes by promoting their dishes on social media.

The winner and runners-up will be announced from December the 17th on mercichefawards.com. The Merci Chef product range for foodservice industry professionals includes goat’s cheese, cow’s cheese, butter and whipping cream. There are multiple variations of goat’s cheese, such as honey and garlic and herbs, all eligible for use in the contest.

“We are delighted to bring the Merci Chef Awards this year to the creative Lebanese chefs and to see the exciting recipes they have created using our products,” said Christophe Pigre, Eurial’s export manager.

Merci Chef is also running an activity for consumers on the Merci Chef Facebook page, designed for the product portfolio available in supermarkets. All participants need to do is answer a quiz, post an image or use a hashtag to win numerous restaurant vouchers and other exciting prizes. The activity, which began at the beginning of November and runs until the end of January, selects a lucky winner almost every week.

Merci Chef’s wide range of goods are available at all major supermarkets across Lebanon so whether you are a chef or someone who simply enjoys the product, don’t miss this great opportunity to win big!
