Typ­i­cally one-third to one-half the amount of fresh herbs you would nor­mally use is suf­fi­cient. If a recipe calls for 1 ta­ble­spoon of fresh thyme, use 1-2 tea­spoons of dried thyme. Most fresh herbs can be re­placed with dried herbs in recipes, and vice versa.
