Both gin­ger and pep­per­mint ( Men­tha x piperita) are great for re­liev­ing nau­sea. Gin­ger is par­tic­u­larly good for morn­ing or mo­tion sick­ness. • In­fuse 1-2 tea­spoons freshly grated gin­ger or ½ tea­spoon ground gin­ger in boiled water. Drink 3 cups a day. If trav­el­ling, drink tea 30 min­utes be­fore you travel, then dur­ing the jour­ney.

Pep­per­mint can be use­ful for nau­sea caused by ir­ri­ta­ble bowel syn­drome. It has an­ti­spas­modic prop­er­ties that soothe the gas­troin­testi­nal tract. • In­fuse 1 tea­spoon dried or 2 tea­spoons fresh leaves in freshly boiled water. You can drink 3-4 cups a day.
