TEA FOR NAUSEA

-

Both ginger and peppermint ( Mentha x piperita) are great for relieving nausea. Ginger is particularly good for morning or motion sickness. • Infuse 1-2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger or ½ teaspoon ground ginger in boiled water. Drink 3 cups a day. If travelling, drink tea 30 minutes before you travel, then during the journey.

Peppermint can be useful for nausea caused by irritable bowel syndrome. It has antispasmodic properties that soothe the gastrointestinal tract. • Infuse 1 teaspoon dried or 2 teaspoons fresh leaves in freshly boiled water. You can drink 3-4 cups a day.
