To make a natural furniture polish, simply melt 60g beeswax in a double boiler, or a heat-proof bowl over simmering water. Remove from the heat and add 275ml pure gum turpentine. Stir well with a wooden spoon.
Infuse a large handful of fresh lemon balm in 275ml boiled water for 15 minutes then strain into a clean saucepan with 60g soap flakes; heat gently to dissolve the soap flakes.
Cool both mixtures and blend. Store in clean jars with lids. Apply with a soft cloth to wood, metal or painted surfaces. Buff to a shine with a clean, soft cloth.
