DIY Ice bowl with herbs

A herb-filled ice bowl is a beautiful way to serve salads, cold desserts or bottled drinks. Use two bowls – one smaller than the other. Use stainless steel or plastic bowls, not glass. Scatter herbs and flowers in the larger bowl and fill it part way with water. Place the smaller bowl inside and weight it down with ice cubes or a bag of frozen veges. Tape the smaller bowl to the larger bowl to keep it in place. Push more flowers and herbs down the sides if necessary. Freeze overnight. To prevent the ice from cracking, move it to the fridge for a little while before bringing out into room temperatur­e. When placing on the table, position the bowl on a napkin or other cloth to prevent it from sliding around.
