Great car, shame about the extras
VIA EMAIL Having owned a 550 Maranello and a 599 GTB, I’m well past being shocked at Ferrari’s ability to tease money out of buyers’ wallets. Still, even I was taken aback by the options listed in your hypothetical build of a GTC4 Lusso T (Spec Expert, July). In particular, £33k spent on a questionable paint job (there are plenty ndof lovely colours in Ferrari’s standard palette), a sunroof and painted alloys. Yikes! The total option spend ran to more than £100k. The world of super-luxury (though not just conined to cars, I might add) has truly gone mad. And this, surely, is proof, if proof were needed. Nice car, all the same!
