NIKON DEVELOPING 500MM TELEPHOTO LENS

Nikon has revealed that it is currently developing an AF-S NIKKOR 500mm f5.6E PF ED VR lens. The optic, whose price or expected release date have not been disclosed, will make use of Nikon’s Phase Fresnel (PF) technology.

SAMYANG UNVEILS FULLFRAME LENSES

Samyang has unveiled the AF 85mm f1.4 EF lens, which is intended for users of Canon’s full-frame EOS DSLRs. The announcement comes just weeks after the firm confirmed a full-frame-compatible AF 24mm f2.8 FE lens for Sony Alpha users.

DXO UPDATES PHOTOLAB AND NIK COLLECTION

DxO has issued an update to its PhotoLab software, and also refreshed the Nik Collection of tools for the first time since it acquired it from Google. The firm applied for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in April.
