DESIGN AROUND YOUR CLIENTS

Ensure your customers’ visit to your studio is an engaging experience

PROVIDE COMFORTABLE WAITING AREAS photoshoots often involve a lot of waiting, while there is a lighting change for example. providing somewhere for your models to wait for their photo session creates a more relaxed atmosphere and avoids the need for you to rush setups.

DISPLAY WORK SAMPLES use wall space to your advantage and display large prints for your clients to peruse between shoots. Additionally, offer photo books or albums. this keep customers occupied, and is an opportunity to advertise your other services.

HIDE EXCESS EQUIPMENT While you should have all of your photographic equipment readily available, remove items you are not intending to use from your main set. this creates a cleaner space for you and your clients to work and also makes the area safer.

PROVIDE VIEWING OPTIONS Many models, especially non-professional ones, like to see images as they are shot. tethering to a nearby laptop, for large and instant review, creates an interactive feel and involves your clients in the shooting process.

PRIVACY MATTERS you won’t always be working with confident models. shoot in an area away from other clients and members of the public, so your subjects feel comfortable. While making the shoot more enjoyable, this will also yield relaxed postures and more natural expressions, for better images.
