ORGANISE SEQUENTIAL­LY storing lenses according to focal length, or flashes in order of maximum power output, allows for rapid location of appropriat­e models as a shoot progresses. this system is often the quickest storage scheme.

READY ‘SHOOT PACKS’ grouping together items that are regularly used in tandem is a method of ensuring you never engage on a shoot without the correct equipment. From your inventory, place relevant items in a bag or case and store these in a ‘ready for use’ area.

ARRANGE BY BRAND An alternativ­e is to group based on make and model, storing cameras, lenses and accessorie­s together. While this leads to discontinu­ous groups (of lens focal lengths for example), full system compatibil­ity is guaranteed.
