PeAk Design shell

Fog, rain and dust shouldn’t trouble a weatherproof camera, but sand and saltwater spray can still be an issue. Peak Design’s solution is the Shell. It’s made from stretchy fabric and has taped seams to keep the elements at bay. Available in three sizes, it stretches over your camera, pulling down under the body with the lens poking out the opposite end. Synch cords keep it in place and Peak Design’s Anchor Links (sold separately) can be slipped through neat slots to allow the camera to hang from a strap like Peak Design’s Leash or Slide (sold separately).

The Medium size is a good fit for the Nikon D850 with a 24-85mm lens. The main section rolls back easily to reveal the controls and viewfinder when you want to take a shot, but it’s a bit cumbersome when you want to zoom the lens or focus manually.
