MOLE CAN’T SEE HIMSELF SITTING OUT
SUNDERLAND skipper Lee Cattermole is ready to play through the pain for the rest of the season.
The 24-year-old is nursing a knee ligament injury but is determined to feature in the last seven games as Martin O’neill’s men look to finish on a high.
Cattermole came off towards the end of the 3-3 draw with Man City as a precaution.
But the no-nonsense midfielder won’t be taken out of the firing line as the Black Cats bid to equal their bestever Premier League finish of seventh.
Cattermole said: “I felt my medial a little against Everton last week, but I was fine after that.
“I just felt it again in the closing stages at City. I just tweaked it, but it won’t be a problem.”
