Jer timing could not be better!
ALEX MCLEISH has revealed that Jermaine Jenas could make a shock return to boost Aston Villa’s Premier League survival big.
And Charles N’zogbia is also poised for a swift comeback in the crunch clash at Liverpool.
Mcleish is desperate for experienced players as he battles the drop and claims Jenas may play before the end of the season.
The 29-year-old, who is on loan from Spurs, was ruled out for the rest of the campaign with an Achilles injury in December.
But Mcleish said: “I can’t rule out if he is going to be available.
“The doctor keeps in touch with Spurs as he’s getting his treatment down there.
“With Charles I was hoping maybe we could rush him back for this week. That would be a massive bonus.
“They thought three to six weeks but he has healed quickly.”
