Quick BITES
Products we’ve tried and liked this month
We thought salted caramel couldn’t get any better, but these sweets from Fatties proved us wrong. They’re deliciously chewy with the perfect amount of sea salt £5.40/100g, cravedlondon.com
We love Little Moons mochi desserts – chewy, Japanese rice paste balls filled with ice cream. The toasted sesame and matcha green tea bite-size ice-creams are perfect for a quick treat or to serve at the end of a meal. £5.99/6, Wholefoods. Our favourite, refreshing, Fever-Tree tonic now comes in a can, so you’ve no excuse for having a bad G&T no matter where you are. Pack them for a posh picnic or stack them in the fridge. £4.50/ 8 x 150ml, available from Sainsbury’s and Waitrose.
The new meat and fish range from M&S offers specially butchered cuts of meat and pre-prepared fish dishes for easy entertaining. We rated the Boneless beef shin steaks in red
wine sauce, slow cooked to melting tenderness. Serve with creamy dauphinoise and greens for a shortcut dinner party winner. £7/477g, M&S. The Collective’s limited-edition pink grapefruit and yuzu yogurt is our new favourite morning pick-me-up. Think thick, creamy yogurt, laced with a citrussy, aromatic compote. Eat it straight or add it to smoothies. £2.39/500g, Waitrose.
