Ready-made béchamel is a genius cheat to have in your cupboard, as it gives you a shortcut to loads of comforting meals like mac ‘n’ cheese, fish pie or this luxurious omelette. I especially like this one from M&S as it has a clean, creamy flavour with a nice hint of nutmeg.
