10 The Express, July 10, 2020 News 01753 825111 CITY OF LONDON CORPORATIO­N Public Notices PROPOSED EXTENSION OF PUBLIC SPACES PROTECTION ORDERS AT BURNHAM BEECHES This notice is to inform anyone with an interest that the Common Council of the City of London is considerin­g extending the duration of the following public spaces protection orders at Burnham Beeches from 1 December 2020 for a further three year period under the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014: 1. Fouling of Land by Dogs Order. SLOUGH BOROUGH COUNCIL Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘RTRA 1984’) and Regulation 3 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictio­ns) Procedure Regulation­s 1992 Slough Borough Council (Kendal Drive) Order 2020 (Order 27 of 2020) (‘Order’) SLOUGH BOROUGH COUNCIL Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘RTRA 1984’) and Regulation 3 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictio­ns) Procedure Regulation­s 1992 Slough Borough Council (Fairlie Road) Order 2020 (Order 28 of 2020) (‘Order’) This makes it an offence on land to which the order applies for anyone at any time to fail to remove dog faeces deposited by a dog for which he or she is responsibl­e. The order applies to the whole of Burnham Beeches. 2. Dogs on Leads Order. This makes it an offence on land to which the order applies for anyone at any time not to keep a dog for which he or she is responsibl­e 1. SLOUGH BOROUGH COUNCIL gives notice that it has made an Order under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 and any other enabling powers. 1. The Order is needed: • because works are or are proposed to be carried out on or near the road; and • because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road (not attributab­le to works on or near the road). 3. The Order shall come into operation 00:01 hours on Monday 13th July 2020 for a period of 18 months, or until the works have been completed. All works are expected to be completed by 23:59 hours on Monday, 13th July 2020. The duration of the Order can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport. 4. While the Order is in operation it will prohibit any traffic passing through Kendal Drive, from 22 Kendal Drive to 44 Kendal Drive, Slough. 5. An alternativ­e highway will be available for use while the Order is in force and local diversions will be clearly signed at the location. Advanced warning notices will be at the locations advising of the dates the works will be carried out. Access will be maintained for all local residents and businesses. 6. The Order is needed: • because works are proposed to be carried out on or near the road; and • because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road (not attributab­le to works on or near the road). 3. The Order shall come into operation 00:01 hours on Wednesday, 22nd July 2020 for a period of 18 months, or until the works have been completed. All works are expected to be completed by 23:59 hours on Wednesday, 22nd July 2020. The duration of the Order can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport. 3. Dogs on Leads by Direction Order. This makes it an offence on land to which the order applies for anyone at any time to fail to put and keep a dog for which of London. The order applies to that part of Burnham Beeches to the east of and including Sir Henry Peeks Drive and Halse Drive but excluding those fenced areas covered by orders 2 and 4. 4. Dogs Exclusion Order. This makes it an offence for anyone at any time to allow a dog for which he or she is responsibl­e to enter or remain on land to which the order applies. The order applies to the café enclosure of approximat­ely 245 square metres at Burnham Beeches. This makes it an offence for anyone at any time to take more than four dogs for which he or she is responsibl­e onto land to which the order applies. The order applies to the whole of Burnham Beeches. This is only a summary of the relevant offences and certain exemptions and defences apply. The above orders were originally made as dog control orders protection orders and extended for a further three year period from 1 December 4. While the Order is in operation it will prohibit any traffic passing through Fairlie Road, from its junction with Cambridge Avenue to its junction with Edinburgh Avenue, Slough. References to Burnham Beeches are to that area of land known as Burnham Beeches in the Parishes of Farnham Royal and Burnham owned by the Mayor highways and other rights of way over that land. 5. An alternativ­e highway will be available for use while the Order is in force and local diversions will be clearly signed at the location. Advanced warning notices will be at the locations advising of the dates the works will be carried out. Access will be maintained for all local residents and businesses.
