Somer Sivrioğlu spent the first 25 years of his life in Istanbul before moving to Australia, where he owns the Efendy and Anason contempora­ry Turkish restaurant­s in Sydney. He’s also a MasterChef Turkey judge. In this new edition of his book, Anatolia – Aventures in Turkish Eating (R460, distribute­d in South Africa by Jonathan Ball), co-authored with journalist David Dale, Somer features 140 dishes covering everything from celebrator­y recipes to streetfood, light meals and meze platters.
