GENESIS TO FOLLOW HYUNDAI AND KIA WITH PERFORMANCE EVS
Kia has launched a 577bhp GT version of the EV6 and Hyundai is readying a hot Ioniq 5 as the first EV from its N performance division – and now creative chief Luc Donckerwolke has hinted that Genesis will follow suit.
“There’s no reason to exclude that,” he told Autocar. “Performance versions don’t disappear with the ICE vehicles.”
He didn’t go so far as to confirm technical details but said that Genesis will seek to compensate for the missing engine noise and powerdelivery characteristics of a combustion engine, which cultivate a sense of “emotion” when driving.
