STELLANTIS DOUBLES INCOME, TRIPLES PROFIT

Stellantis enjoyed a very healthy 2021, tripling its net profit and nearly doubling its operating income. Its net profit rose to €13.4 billion (£11.2bn), while its operating margin was up from 6.9% to 11.8%. The most popular of the wide-ranging group’s cars in Europe was the Peugeot 208 supermini, while the Jeep Wrangler SUV was its number one in the US. Stellantis has announced that its employees will benefit from a total of €1.9bn (£1.9bn) in bonuses off the back of the strong financial results. It expects to perform well again in 2022.
