CUSCO – I’ve just finished editing next month’s gourmet traveller on the Peruvian city and I’m already looking at flights. If you liked Lima, you’ll coo over Cusco.

GALAPAGOS – I’m looking forward to an adventure with the kids. It’s a great choice for a family of animal lovers and will give me the material for some stunning photography.

CUBA – I’m going to be Food and Travel’s man in Havana. I’ll be booking soon as I want to sample its fine rums and cigars with the locals. The island has managed to retain its unique heritage and I want to get there before it’s lost.

BALI – It’s been 25 years since I visited Ubud but the memory of rice paddies and gamelan music has stayed with me. I’m going back there with the folks to celebrate my dad’s birthday.

COPENHAGEN – I spent Christmas in Copenhagen and am already planning a trip this summer, when a food market comes to the meat-packing district and the harbour baths at Islands Brygge become the centre of the city’s social life.
