Adam Handling

It seems that Adam Handling himself was the most surprised to win Chef of the Year, being (almost) speechless when we spoke to him afterwards. But it shouldn’t have been too much of a shock – the chef is becoming something of a regular at the Food and Travel Awards. In 2015, his restaurant Adam Handling at Caxton won Newcomer of the Year. Two years later, The Frog went on to win London Restaurant of the Year, and then, in 2018, his sleek Convent Garden outpost Frog by Adam Handling scooped Newcomer of the Year. He has since added Adam Handling Chelsea at the Belmond Cadogan Hotel to his growing empire. ‘My team is amazing,’ he told us on the night. ‘For every one of them a nomination means we’re doing something well. For them it’s a pat on the back that says “what you just did was awesome”.’ adamhandling.co.uk
