So that is what I’m keen to see.” Baber said they are looking at trying out players before the World Sevens Series and the Olympic Games. “Jiuta is one of them. We got people like Kaminieli Rasaku, who is a young man and has been training with us. “He got close to be selected but got injured. “Netani Natoga is coming to join us as well. I spotted him during at the Coral Coast 7s and he is a good winger. “Epeli Namuamua is another one we invited into the programme as well. “Most fans haven’t heard or watched these young men. “Obviously, we’re going to further develop players who have been playing in other programmes like the under-18, under-20s, Drua or Latui teams,” he added. SUVA T he search for a winger to be on stand-by for Fiji Airways Fijian 7s speedster Aminiasi Tuimaba is underway. This was confirmed yesterday to by Fijian 7s head coach Gareth Baber indicating that they have considered a few young players who have been playing well. The Welshman also said he had contacted Edinburgh Rugby in Scotland, to check out the availabili­ty of Eroni ‘The Sledgehamm­er’ Sau and lanky forward Mesulame Kunavula. “Yes, those players are in my head,” he said. Baber indicated that there a lot of things happening in Europe apart from rugby but he’s considerin­g Sau. He said getting the duo over could be challengin­g in terms of their contracts. “I had already spoken to Edinburgh about the likes of Eroni Sau and Mesulame Kunavula but I’m now keeping in touch with them.” Baber said he has number of young players who are in the training squad. Last month, Baber had told that he needed to have a good back-up player for Tuimaba after their painful 29-24 loss to South Africa in the Cup final.
