Discover Digital SLR Photography is a four-week course run by Cairns Photo Courses’ professional photographer, Andrew Watson, blending a good understanding of the fundamentals with hands-on experience. The courses will cover the basics of digital SLR, exposure control, composition and lighting, before capping off with a field shoot to put your new-found knowledge to the test. The four courses run from 6.30-9.30pm, January 22 and 29, and February 5 and 12 at the Cairns CWA Hall on Grove St, with the field shoot on the Sunday afternoon of the fourth week from 47pm. After completion of the course, there is an optional fifth week, covering an introduction to processing raw images and editing them with Adobe Photoshop Elements 2019. This session will be on February 19 from 6.30-9.30pm.
