  • About the author(s)

Cassandra Clare is the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and USA TODAY bestselling author of the Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices trilogies of young adult fantasy novels. Her first book, City of Bones, was a 2007 Locus Award finalist for Best First Novel. Her books have been translated into 32 languages. She lives in Massachusetts with her husband and two cats.

Sarah Rees Brennan was born in Ireland by the sea, where she spent her schooldays secretly reading books rather than learning Irish. That paid off, as she is now the author of the Demon's Lexicon trilogy, a series about attractive troubled brothers and all the fierce ladies and evil magicians they know. The first book in the series, The Demon's Lexicon, received three starred reviews, was an ALA Top Ten Best Books of 2009, and was long-listed for the Carnegie Medal. Her next book, cowritten with Justine Larbalestier, comes out in 2012. For more information, visit Sarah at http://sarahreesbrennan.com.
