Macbeth

Macbeth, or, The Tragedy of Macbeth is a drama and tragedy by William Shakespeare, first published in the First Folio of 1623. It narrates the story of Macbeth, a Scottish general who, encouraged by his wife, is moved to murder his king after receiving a prophecy from three witches. The consequences of the Macbeths’ actions lead to a tragic series of events and their eventual downfall.
