One fast horse, and a whirlwind romance set among the glamour of Royal Ascot.

One fast horse, and a whirlwind romance set amid the glamour of Royal Ascot. But what happens when everyone goes home?

In horse trainer Shannon Bassett's wildest dreams, he never imagined he'd have a horse good enough to take to Royal Ascot. As a country trainer based in Australia, he's unprepared for the media attention. When he ends up in an argument with a beautiful woman about his own horse while on the train, he realises just how out of his depth he is. He falls hard for Ananya, and their shared love of horses, unable to guard himself against the pitfalls of a relationship with her.

According to her middle-class, hard-working parents, Ananya Rahman has the world's weirdest hobby. She loves doing pedigree analysis on racehorses. Her family don't understand her fascination with horses, or why she spends so much of her hard-earned cash every year on clothes for Royal Ascot. Growing up in London with no access to horses, looking at racehorse pedigrees is a connection to the animals she adores. Her embarrassment at telling Shannon Bassett about his own horse is quickly forgotten when they kiss. But what happens when the races are over?
